It operates in four segments: Mail, Parcels and Distribution; PostePay Services; Financial Services; and Insurance Services. The Mail, Parcels and Distribution segment offers mail, parcel, and logistics management services, as well as engages in the activities of the distribution network. The PostePay Services segment provides payment management, payment card, and mobile and fixed-line telephone services; and electricity and gas sales services. The Financial Services segment is involved in the placement and distribution of financial and insurance products and services, such as current accounts, postal savings products, mutual investment funds, and loans. The Insurance Services segment is involved in issuance of life and P&C insurance products. Poste Italiane S.p.A. was founded in 1862 and is based in Rome, Italy.
