CdTe is a type of thin film solar cell that has managed to remain cost competitive with silicon-based cells. The technology is advertised to handle high temperatures and humid environments better than other silicon-based modules
The company stopped reporting this metric after 2018, they only report their current module-level verified record efficiency (the best they have been able to manufacture with their technology), which was 19% as of end of year 2020
