The Asset Management division manages investments of private and public sector pension funds, insurers and corporates, and foundations and central banks, as well as intermediaries serving individual investors through equity, fixed income, multi-asset, and alternative investments. The Wealth & Investment division provides wealth management, portfolio management, private office, and stockbroking services to individuals, families, trusts, and charities, as well as alternative investment, investment advisory, electronic trading, and retirement and succession planning services. The Specialist Banking division offers private banking products and services, such as deposits, lending and investment products, transactional banking and foreign exchange services; corporate and institutional banking services, including treasury and trading, specialized lending, funds, debt capital markets, institutional research sales and trading, and advisory services; and property investment, and property investment fund management services. The company was founded in 1974 and is based in Sandton, South Africa. Investec Limited is a subsidiary of Investec Group Limited.
